history of hawks hill
Hawks Hill is a third-generation farm in Troy, NY, set on 90 acres of open fields, forest, and wind-cut ridgelines. The land is known for the thermals that pull red-tailed hawks and other birds of prey across the hills — a sharp reminder of the strength, clarity, and focus found in the natural environment.

The farm is home to two core practices:
Martial arts training and integrative health services, including acupuncture and chinese herbs with mental health services coming soon.
Both are built on discipline, intention, and practical work — the same values that shape the land itself. Outside of training and teaching, we spend our time restoring and maintaining the property. The farm includes flower gardens, a vegetable garden, fruit trees, beekeeping, and chickens — all cultivated by hand and built gradually through consistent effort. Hawks Hill is not a commercial operation. It’s a working piece of land that requires the same steadiness and commitment we expect on the mat.

People come here to train, discover, and reset in an environment that’s grounded and real. Whether you’re here for martial arts, acupuncture, or both, the aim is the same: to build resilience, restore balance, and move through life with greater capability.
