What stands in the way becomes the way

— MARCUS AURELIUS

Hawks Hill is a dojo built on discipline, capability, and honest practice.

Our training is focused, challenging, and intentional — grounded in old-school Japanese grappling principles, practical weapons work, and partner-based drills that hold up under pressure.

Every technique, every exchange, every moment of training has a reason.

We train to become formidable, not aggressive — strong enough to act when needed, disciplined enough to choose restraint. True capability comes from skill, clarity, and control, not from domination or compliance.

We don’t do theatrics.
We don’t practice choreography.
We care less about how things look and more about how they work.

Training at Hawks Hill develops strength, clarity, and resilience. It teaches you how to move with structure, stay calm under stress, and respond with intention. You learn to control your body, your breath, and your reactions — qualities that carry into every part of life.

The dojo environment is serious but welcoming.

Respect matters, but ceremony is simple and meaningful.
Ego gets left at the door, but effort is always recognized.

We train hard, support each other, and stay grounded in the reality of what skill requires.

This is a place for people who want to become stronger — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

A place to build discipline, test yourself, and grow through consistent practice.

What Our Members Have to Say

Google-Reviews-transparent-2.png

I have been in and out of dojos for most of my life and have seen hundreds of dojos like Hawks Hill…in movies. Boasting a large acreage that allows for training inside as well as out in nature, Coletti Sensei truly lives the lifestyle rather than this just being an after work activity. Also trained in Chinese Herbalism and Acupuncture, Coletti Sensei strives to make this dojo a safe place dedicated to self betterment in body, mind, and spirit. This is reflected in his students as well, who are always eager to welcome a new person in and help them along their martial arts journey. Whether you stay for a few weeks or decades, you will not regret coming to learn and heal at Hawks Hill.
