If you’ve been thinking about training for a while but haven’t taken the step — this is for you.
A lot of men and women who eventually join Hawks Hill say the same thing:
“I kept hovering over the join page. I waited for a year before I signed up.”
Not because they weren’t interested. But because something held them back.
Maybe it’s been: “I’m out of shape. I’ve never done martial arts. I don’t want to be the awkward beginner. What if I can’t keep up? What if I start and quit again?”
Those aren’t weaknesses. They’re common fears that cause hesitation.
That’s exactly why we’re offering another Foundations Course.
Foundations isn’t a separate beginner class. It’s a structured on-ramp inside our regular training environment — designed so new students can enter without feeling overwhelmed.
You will train alongside current students. But only six new students will be admitted this cycle. That matters.
It means you won’t be walking into a room full of strangers as the only new person. You’ll enter with a small group who are also starting at the same time — while being supported by more experienced students who already understand the culture and pace of training.
This is not a proving ground. It’s not a fight club. It’s not an ego-driven environment. It’s structured training, guided carefully.
In Foundations, we deliberately emphasize:

How to become capable and train confidently without tension in your body

How to build skill and structure correctly from the beginning
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be “in shape.” You don’t need to perform.
You just need to be willing to learn.
For many people, the hardest part isn’t the effort — it’s walking into something new and not already being competent. Foundations exists to remove that pressure.

No Gi required; t-shirts and sweatpants are appropriate.
